He was Japan’s finalist in the burn WORLD DJ CONTEST, the global DJ contest sponsored by the creative energy drink brand burn; he ranked 4th overall in DJ MAG JAPAN’s national DJ rankings, winning 1st place in the national Best Producer division.
In 2016, he released “Move That Body” from Kid Coconut, the major label headed by Michael Brun, reaching #15 on the Beatport charts; he also charted an impressive #2 worldwide on 1001 Tracklists’ overall chart. He received heavy play by the world’s top DJs at the same time; he was also picked up by the Beatport chart of tracks chosen by Fedde Le Grand himself, making “Move That Body” a trending song in the first half of 2016.
The second half of 2016 was also a ceaseless whirlwind of activity for him. He signed a music contract with major global record company Armada Music, and his track “Japafunk” was, in the year of its release, played by Fedde Le Grand and Knife Party on the main stage of Ultra Japan, making him the first Japanese artist to receive such an honor. He ranked #13 on the Beatport Charts, the highest ranking for a Japanese EDM producer.
The tracks he has released so far have been played on Hardwell’s Hardwell On Air, Nicky Romero’s Protocol Radio, and elsewhere, making him the only Japanese artist to achieve this feat.
